Backes & Strauss Victoria Princess Red Rose

Drawn from Backes & Strauss’ archives, a 19th century brooch with two linked hearts was the starting point for today’s Backes & Strauss sumptuous Victoria Princess diamond watch.

In early 2016, Backes & Strauss welcomed the Victoria Princess Emerald Green and the Victoria Princess Red Rose to the delightfully feminine Victoria Collection, infusing the timeless design with a zesty touch. These new scintillating timepieces build on the elegant interlocking Hearts design, without jeopardising the playful charm of the classic collection. The tactile interior gold finish of the bracelet has been designed for ultimate comfort. The linked hearts on the bracelets are intertwined, repeated again and again in a circle of everlasting love, like that of Queen Victoria for or her husband Albert. She was so smitten with him that she proposed the second time they met.

Subtly reinterpreting the floral motif of the Victoria Princess Red Rose see the addition of 32 enthralling luscious red rubies, hand-set into the loops of the interlocking Hearts by our master craftsmen. This jewel of a timepiece is set with 388 Ideal Cut diamonds, for a total of 2.54 carats. Thanks to hundreds of hours of planning, precision cutting and hand polishing by our diamond experts, a perfect series of eight arrowheads becomes visible on the top of the stone when viewing a Backes & Strauss diamond up close with the help of a special viewer, also known as a loupe. When examining the stone from beneath, eight hearts circle the diamond. Each Backes & Strauss watch comes with its own Hearts and Arrows viewer, a testament to our dedication to perfection.
